Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and C++.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop dev: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, and cross-version compatibility.
• Lead accessibility efforts: implement UI Automation, ensure focus, keyboard nav, and screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and roadmap for Windows platform.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and compatibility issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop dev using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; ideally C++.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record delivering production desktop apps with reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multi-threading/async.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
