Senior Software Engineer - Search Scale - Elasticsearch

📋 Description

• Full-time Elasticsearch contributor, building data-intensive features and fixing bugs.
• Work with a globally distributed team focused on Elasticsearch search capabilities.
• Be an expert in several Elasticsearch areas; improve those areas.
• Build scalable search for our Serverless platform; write ES|QL queries.
• Collaborate with community members on issues and PRs around the world.
• Write idiomatic Java; Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Java skills; familiar with core data structures, concurrency constructs, and lambdas.
• Autonomous, able to take projects from design to delivery and collaborate with engineers.
• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously and giving/receiving feedback online.
• Experience with data storage tech such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for remote collaboration.
