Senior Software Engineer - Postgres

📋 Description

• Design and build backend services that orchestrate database clusters.
• Extend the platform control plane to support new Postgres capabilities.
• Contribute to PostgreSQL extensions and data plane agents (C, C++, Rust).
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management of clusters.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, and product teams for reliability.
• Develop APIs and integrations exposing new Postgres functionality.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in software engineering with database or cloud platform experience.
• Deep Postgres expertise: configuration, extensions, operations, performance.
• Strong coding in Ruby, Go, Rust, C, or Python; cross-language work.
• Cloud infra, APIs, and automation tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Distributed systems, data replication, and service orchestration knowledge.
• Pragmatic, detail-oriented, ownership mindset; greenfield and on-call.
