Senior Software Engineer - Postgres

📋 Description

• Design and build backend services to orchestrate ClickHouse Cloud clusters.
• Extend the platform control plane to support Postgres capabilities.
• Contribute to PostgreSQL extensions and data plane agents (C/C++/Rust).
• Build automation for provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Develop APIs and integrations for Postgres functionality.
• Improve observability and reliability; participate in on-call rotations.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in software engineering; experience with database or cloud platforms.
• Deep Postgres expertise: config, extensions, operations, and tuning.
• Strong programming: Ruby, Go, Rust, C, Python (one or more).
• Familiarity with cloud infra, APIs, and tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Understanding of distributed systems, data replication, and orchestration patterns.
• Mindset: pragmatic, ownership, cross-functional collaboration.
