Senior Software Engineer - Insitutional, Markets

📋 Description

• Lead a team of ~8 engineers building the Coinbase Exchange trading systems
• Own core exchange surfaces end-to-end (order entry, FIX, market data)
• Drive ultra-low-latency, high-throughput, highly reliable systems at scale
• Partner with Product, Infra/SRE, and leadership to deliver quarterly goals
• Establish team processes for planning, reviews, testing, safe deploys, on-call
• Coach and mentor engineers, growing future leaders

🎯 Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Designed, built, scaled and maintained production services and SOA.
• You write high-quality, well-tested code.
• You're passionate about building an open financial system.
• Nice to have: low-latency trading systems in production.
• Nice to have: high-performance distributed systems at scale; Java with Aeron/SBE.
