Senior Software Engineer II, Logistic Foundation

📋 Description

• Own platform workstreams end-to-end from design to launch and support.
• Design, build, operate high-throughput distributed backend services with SLOs and on-call.
• Analyze and refine service and data architectures; lead scalable new systems.
• Establish engineering standards via design reviews, production readiness, on-call ownership.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Policy to deliver compliant solutions across jurisdictions.
• Drive adoption of modern tech and AI tools; mentor peers and influence roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software development delivering scalable production systems.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Go.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed backend services with SLOs, on-call, observability, incident response.
• Track record leading complex cross-functional projects with ambiguity and hard deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; authoring technical artifacts and coordinating launches.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
