Senior Software Engineer, Customer Solutions

📋 Description

• Own the engineering experience for external payload partners integrating with Muon's software.
• Collaborate with Flight Software, Mission Engineering, and Systems Engineering to influence payload interfaces.
• Run customer-facing design reviews and integration tests; serve as software POC for payload partners.
• Author and maintain developer guides, sample code, and reference apps for the Payload SDK.
• Maintain epics, estimate work, and escalate roadmap changes early.
• Define and track key metrics and OKRs for payload integration.
• Mentor engineers to improve code quality, design reviews, and customer docs.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong fluency in modern C++ and Python.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping external software.
• Excellent coding and design skills.
• Experience designing and operating service interfaces (gRPC/protobuf or REST), file-transfer protocols, and telemetry pipelines.
• Experience integrating software across vendor SDKs, third-party hardware, or external customer code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
