Senior Software Engineer, Billing

📋 Description

• Own and evolve Scribe’s billing and subscription systems
• Shape the long-term architecture of our revenue platform as complexity scales
• Design resilient, event-driven systems that stay correct under retries
• Build and maintain reconciliation processes used by Finance and leadership
• Improve subscription lifecycle reliability: renewals, invoicing, payments
• Scale workflows for both self-serve users and enterprise customers

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Built or maintained billing, payments, or other high-integrity financial systems in production
• Think in terms of guarantees: consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, durability
• Comfortable scoping ambiguous problems and driving them end to end
• Strong backend engineer, ideally in Python and Django
• Experience with Stripe or similar billing platforms is helpful but not required
