Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and improve Nova's query engine and distributed compute.
• Implement support for new data types (metrics, profiles, dimensions).
• Ensure high-throughput automated queries for AI agents at scale.
• Optimize cost and performance; tune JVM and data layouts.
• Improve reliability; participate in on-call and incident response.
• Collaborate with Product, Middleware, Data teams to deliver value.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in backend or infra engineering with distributed data systems.
• Experience building distributed data systems—query engines and storage.
• Experience improving cost or performance on cloud infrastructure.
• Strong CS fundamentals: distributed systems, data structures, concurrency, performance.
• Production AWS, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Terraform experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to own and ship significant pieces of complex systems.
