- Drive AI-powered enhancements into test frameworks (AI-assisted test generation, LLM coding).
- Design test strategies across functional, integration, UI, performance, and security for IDE platforms.
- Ensure plugin behavior and UX stay consistent across IDE versions, frameworks, and OS (Windows/macOS/Linux).
- Collaborate with the plugin development team to plan coverage and provide early quality feedback.
- Apply exploratory, regression, and compatibility testing to uncover defects.
🎯 Requirements
- 6–10 years of proven experience in Test Automation / QA Engineering.
- Developer-caliber programming in Java and/or Python — you write test code.
- Experience building or evolving automated test frameworks.
- Hands-on testing of desktop apps or IDE plugins; UI automation and cross-version issues.
- Proven cross-platform testing across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Experience with UI automation and visual testing techniques (object/element detection).
