Senior Research Associate, Platform Biology

📋 Description

• Plan and execute genome engineering experiments to generate models for target validation.
• Execute barcoded pooled screening assays, including NGS library preparation.
• Support the development of novel biochemical, cellular and functional assays for our internal therapeutic pipeline.
• Maintain and transfect a variety of mammalian cell lines, such as immortalized cell lines.
• Perform standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR, qPCR, molecular cloning, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet company deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in biology related field; 2-4+ years in pharma/biotech.
• Gene editing experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong molecular and cell biology knowledge.
• Experience growing, maintaining and transfecting mammalian cell lines.
• Experience designing and executing molecular and cellular assays.
• Excellent communication, organization; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
