Senior Regulatory Counsel, LATAM

📋 Description

• Lead LATAM regulatory matters for Brazil, Mexico, and LATAM markets.
• Advise on licensing, payments, and financial services regs; cross-border launches.
• Senior member of LATAM Regulatory Legal team; provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders.
• Hybrid role based in São Paulo or Mexico City.
• Manage external counsel across LATAM; ensure high-quality, cost-effective support.
• Collaborate with Product Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Risk, and FinCrime to embed regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with around 10 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong fintech/payments/remittance/FX regulatory experience in LATAM.
• Deep experience advising on regulatory matters, filings, and strategy; regulator engagement.
• Deep LATAM financial services regulatory knowledge (payments, remittance, FX, issuing; central banks).
• Fluent in English and Portuguese or Spanish; able to draft in both languages.
• Collaborative, cross-functional stakeholder management across jurisdictions.
