Senior Python Engineer (FastAPI / Python)

📋 Description

• Design, build, and evolve the public API for developers accessing Photoroom AI.
• Ship features for self-serve and enterprise customers; ensure API reliability.
• Own the API surface end-to-end: naming, versioning, structure, and performance.
• Iterate quickly; ship multiple times per week using data and feedback.
• Work at the backend/AI intersection; abstract image models into developer-facing interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, ML, backend, and sales to deliver value.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Python backend experience with external API consumers.
• Proficiency with FastAPI (or similar); async patterns and production debugging.
• Ownership of public-facing API design: versioning, consistency, evolution.
• Focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience.
• Pragmatic, product-minded; prioritise impact and speed; avoid over-engineering.
• Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration; startup experience is a plus.
