Senior Product Manager - Banking Foundations

📋 Description

• Own the connectivity platform linking Mercury to the Fed, payment networks, and core banking.
• Drive org-wide adoption by standardizing flows with rails teams for bank-grade money movement.
• Design platform behavior for settlement, returns, reversals, and exceptions.
• Define real-time visibility into Mercury's bank-level cash position for Finance, Accounting, Treasury.
• Partner with engineering on protocol and architecture for network connections as Mercury scales.
• Navigate a complex stakeholder environment across rails teams, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, and external partners.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in product management in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with payment rails (ACH, wires, RTP, cards, checks) with depth on how they work.
• Strong technical fluency to engage with engineers on distributed systems, idempotency, and exception handling.
• Track record building or scaling internal platforms used by other product teams.
• Data-driven, systems-thinking approach; model second/third-order effects and tradeoffs.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication with engineers, finance, treasury, compliance, and ops.
