Senior Privacy Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and operate systems enabling data rights across the data lifecycle (collection, access, deletion).
• Own end-to-end software development of tools to optimize the Privacy Program in a cloud environment.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and Legal to assess risk and ensure privacy/regulatory compliance.
• Advocate for privacy-preserving solutions and act as privacy SME across teams.
• Lead privacy incident response and assist with incident response beyond privacy domain.

🎯 Requirements

• A passion for user privacy and data protection.
• 3+ years in Privacy or Security engineering or building compliant production systems.
• 3+ years in at least one general purpose language (Python, Rust, or TypeScript).
• 3+ years in cloud environments (Google Cloud preferred).
• Experience with threat modeling, data lifecycle management, and data classification.
• Familiarity with privacy concerns in industry, including consent, deletion, retention, and GDPR/CCPA basics.
