Senior Privacy Counsel

📋 Description

• Serve as privacy, data protection and security SME with a multi‑jurisdiction lens
• Advise across teams on privacy compliance and regulatory implications
• Develop scalable privacy program and educate stakeholders on data protection as a core value
• Draft external privacy notices and update internal policies
• Guide product/engineering on privacy-by-design and data rights disclosures
• Counsel HR on employee privacy and respond to data rights inquiries

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years as attorney/counsel with a multinational tech company on global data privacy
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA-CPRA; familiarity with HIPAA, PIPEDA, LGPD
• Foundational knowledge of SOC2, ISO, HIPAA
• CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification
• Strong ability to influence, educate, and build relationships with senior leaders
• California state bar licensed or eligible; or qualified in Ireland and/or the UK
