Senior Privacy Counsel

📋 Description

• Own and lead global privacy and data protection strategy, incl health data.
• Act as final internal decision-maker on privacy within risk appetite.
• Advise Head of Legal on cross-functional privacy risk trade-offs.
• Design scalable privacy governance: RoPA, DPIAs, policies, training.
• Lead privacy readiness for international expansion and cross-border transfers.
• Embed privacy-by-design in product development; engage regulators as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer (UK / EU preferred).
• 8+ years PQE with hands-on privacy expertise.
• Deep knowledge of UK GDPR and EU GDPR, incl special category data.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience building or scaling a privacy function in a fast-growth organisation.
• Experience advising across product, engineering, data, commercial and clinical teams.
