Senior Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and evolve internal platform capabilities: paved paths, reusable modules, self-service.
• Own and improve Terraform/Spacelift workflows, modules, reviews, drift, and guardrails.
• Modernize AWS infra (EC2/Chef) and promote standardized patterns.
• Support data/ML infra: MWAA/Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, SageMaker, S3, RDS.
• Partner with software, data, and ML engineers to scale platform capabilities.
• Improve deployment, CI/CD, observability, alerting, and incident response.
• Expand ECS deployment patterns; avoid Kubernetes as the default.
• Participate in a lightweight on-call rotation to reduce toil and improve reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in platform engineering, infra/SRE/DevOps or similar.
• Experience building/operating internal developer platform or productivity team.
• Strong AWS production experience: EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, networking, load balancing.
• Hands-on Terraform or similar IaC; reusable modules; multi-environment patterns.
• Comfort with data-heavy infra; Airflow/MWAA, Snowflake, dbt, SageMaker, S3, RDS.
• Product-minded infra: understand engineer pain points, document paved paths, iterate by adoption.
• Strong operational judgment: debugging prod systems, observability, reliability.
