Senior Payroll Accountant

📋 Description

• Prepare and review payroll journal entries and reconciliations for close.
• Own reconciliations for wages payable, payroll taxes, benefits, and FSA/HSA.
• Collaborate with Payroll/People Ops to reflect payroll in NetSuite and flag issues.
• Manage accounting for Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements and contractor reporting.
• Support equity payroll accounting: stock-based comp, RSU vesting, options.
• Support audits with schedules, reconciliations, and auditor inquiries.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on Workday experience required.
• 4+ years of accounting with payroll exposure; startup/high-growth preferred.
• Strong payroll accounting fundamentals: accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, close.
• Knowledge of US payroll taxes, benefits, and comp accounting; audit support.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Excel; comfortable with large, messy datasets.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
