Senior Network Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, configure, and maintain secure LAN/WAN network infrastructures supporting Navy systems
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances for performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve outages, latency, and configuration errors across enterprise networks
• Implement and maintain network security controls: segmentation, ACLs, boundary protections
• Support cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and network compliance with security teams
• Conduct network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Network Eng, CS, or related field
• 8+ years in network engineering with a security focus
• DoD Security+ certification (IAT Level II) required
• Hands-on LAN/WAN architecture, routing, switching, secure design
• NIPR/SIPR boundary protection, CDS, DREN experience
• Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and network encryption knowledge
• Analyze and resolve complex network performance issues
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Must currently hold or maintain a DoD T5 (SSBI) clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for LAA
• Preferred: Navy DoD environment experience
• Preferred: Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise hardware
• Preferred: DoD cybersecurity RMF security controls knowledge
• Preferred: Network monitoring tools and compliance experience
