Senior Model Risk Manager - AI/ML

📋 Description

• Define model governance for AI/ML at Mercury.
• Own validation, monitoring, and governance of Mercury's AI/ML portfolio.
• Partner with data scientists, engineers, compliance, and product teams.
• Shape industry-wide approach to MRM in AI for fintech.
• Develop AI-enabled automation to speed governance and validation workflows.
• Champion MRM as a strategic enabler of safe AI adoption.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; 6–10 years AI/ML model experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; ML tooling like scikit-learn, XGBoost.
• Familiar with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, AI agent frameworks.
• Experience validating/testing ML models and generative AI systems.
• Knowledge of model risk governance and regulatory expectations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; explain risk to scientists/regulators.
