Senior Mechanisms Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and test Terran R mechanisms: stage separation, payload deployment, and landing gear.
• Collaborate with structures, avionics, and fluids; leverage additive manufacturing.
• Own full design cycle: concept, trade studies, design, analysis, manufacturing, testing.
• Work across subsystems to influence flight hardware and improve manufacturability.
• Refine designs for manufacturability and speed on the factory floor.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in full-cycle design engineering (CAD, analysis, build, test).
• Kinematic synthesis; pneumatic/hydraulic actuation; mechatronics and instrumentation.
• Structures strength, stability, and fatigue failure modes.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and surface treatments.
• Hands-on fabrication/prototyping: machining, 3D printing, welding; problem-solving.
