Senior Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the mechanical specs, design, integration, and release for vehicle systems
• Create CAD models, drawings, and specs for parts (SolidWorks)
• Drive product development from concept to production; ensure manufacturability
• Troubleshoot issues; identify root causes; design corrective actions
• Build and operate test fixtures for mechanisms, including coding & electrical setups
• Characterize sensing systems (encoders/sensors) for bandwidth and latency to support closed-loop control

🎯 Requirements

• 4-8 years in mechanical engineering; robotics/automotive ideal
• Proven track record from concept through mass production
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling
• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups for precision assemblies
• Experience with PLM systems (Arena or similar)
• Hands-on prototyping and testing — assembling and debugging systems in a lab
