Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanisms

📋 Description

• Own major mechanized assemblies from design release to test integration.
• Lead build/test flow: design integration, sourcing, sequencing, and mBOM.
• Provide hands-on shop-floor support; troubleshoot issues; feedback for manufacturability.
• Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies; lead root-cause and corrective actions.
• Foster critical thinking; mentor manufacturing engineers.
• New product introduction: bring aerospace hardware from prototype to high-volume production.

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering; 5+ years building/testing hardware.
• Develop manufacturing processes; author work instructions and test procedures.
• Knowledge of rocket subsystems: structures, mechanisms, high‑pressure gas, avionics.
• Interface with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, planning, and production teams.
• Experience with capacity analyses; DFMEA/PFMEA; value stream mapping.
• Lead cross-functional process improvements with strong ownership; autonomous.
• New product introduction: bring hardware from prototype to high-volume production.
• Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
