Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead technical accounting under US GAAP and statutory reporting; coordinate with Tax.
• Partner with teams and external partners to provide technical accounting for new transactions.
• Prepare technical accounting analyses for complex issues.
• Create and maintain accounting policies.
• Oversee new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company.
• Work with external auditors on technical accounting matters.
• Review SEC and statutory filings for accounting policy impacts.
• Develop relationships with cross-functional teams to provide accounting guidance and drive process improvements.
• Perform ad-hoc technical accounting research for special projects.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• CPA licensure.
• 2+ years of experience with US-based insurance companies.
• 2+ years of practical experience in financial reporting.
