Senior Manager, Legislative Counsel

📋 Description

• Analyze proposed legislation; provide recommended changes for users and company.
• Serve as legal expert for Lyft Public Policy on legislative issues.
• Design, draft, and advocate for rideshare, gig economy, and autonomous vehicle legislation.
• Identify legislative trends; develop strategies across matters and jurisdictions.
• Identify, track, and advise on proposed legislation.
• Provide policy advice; issue-spotting and strategies for new policies.
• Coordinate with compliance, legal, and operations on new regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with Public Policy on market-specific legislative efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree required.
• 7-10 years drafting legislation for state/federal bodies or trade associations.
• Exceptional ability to analyze policy and legal issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Self-starter; intrinsically motivated.
• Experience with gig economy or autonomous vehicles a plus.
