Senior Manager, Data Engineering (West Coast Preferred)

📋 Description

• Build, lead, and scale a data engineering team of 8–12 engineers.
• Define and execute data platform strategy and architecture using Snowflake on AWS.
• Drive data orchestration with Airflow and modeling with DBT.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to deliver analytics.
• Ensure reliability through on-call practices, monitoring, and incident response.
• Lead self-service analytics via BI dashboards and Sigma integrations.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of data engineering experience; 4+ years in technical leadership managing 5+ engineers.
• Proven track record scaling data teams at high-growth tech companies.
• Strong people management: hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Cross-functional leadership with Product, Eng, and Business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication to influence executives and technical teams.
• Snowflake expertise; Airflow, DBT, AWS; Sigma BI.
