Senior Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain core platform infrastructure for scalable, reliable services.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Own architectural decisions and long-term direction for Fieldguide’s infra.
• Monitor reliability, performance, and cost with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance (identity, secrets, vulnerabilities).
• Lead incident response and postmortems, driving root-cause analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience constructing complex cloud solutions using multiple AWS services.
• Proficiency in provisioning and configuring cloud services using Terraform and the AWS CLI / API.
• Proficiency in monitoring/alerting and log aggregation with Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Solid understanding of data systems, including SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience in security and regulatory compliance environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
• Comfortable participating in on-call support to ensure 24/7 availability of services.
• Passion for mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
