Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

📋 Description

• Support maintenance of security documentation and system ATO/ATT efforts.
• Conduct security control assessments and remediation recommendations.
• Perform biweekly audit log and vulnerability scan reviews; track POA&M items.
• Collaborate with system owners and technical teams to manage risk and respond to incidents.
• Support Ongoing Authorization and continuous monitoring activities.
• Ensure alignment with NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, and 800-137 policies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years in cybersecurity; 3+ years supporting system authorizations.
• RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, and related policies.
• ATO/ATT; security control assessments; POA&M; vulnerability management.
• Leadership mentoring junior ISSOs; interfacing with senior government leadership.
• Two active certs from approved list.
