Senior Fullstack Engineer - Commerce Platform

📋 Description

• Architect and implement scalable backend services and frontend components powering Spotify’s commerce platform.
• Design and develop Java and Python services in a high-volume, low-latency environment.
• Build and maintain the pay-in functionality enabling payment processing across Spotify products.
• Run and analyze experiments to improve payment performance and user experience.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful commerce features.

🎯 Requirements

• You are experienced with modern JavaScript development, testing, and debugging.
• You have experience building and scaling backend services using Java and/or Python.
• You have worked in cloud-native environments such as Google Cloud Platform or similar platforms.
• You have experience designing and maintaining libraries, frameworks, or developer tools used by other engineers.
• You have hands-on experience working with scalable databases such as PostgreSQL.
• You approach engineering problems with strong analytical thinking and practical solutions.
• You communicate clearly and collaborate well with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in e-commerce, financial systems, or high-volume transaction environments is a plus.
