Senior Flight Test Data Engineer, Loads

📋 Description

• Design and operate systems that capture and validate loads data from our aircraft.
• Design, configure, and maintain DAS software for structural loads measurements.
• Develop and validate loads equations and transfer functions from flight data.
• Plan and execute loads survey flight test programs with engineers and analysts.
• Process, reduce, and quality-check large flight test datasets for integrity.
• Build automated data pipelines and analysis tools to accelerate loads extraction.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in flight test loads, structural test, or related engineering
• Bachelors in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field (MS preferred)
• Hands-on experience with flight test data acquisition systems and sensors
• Proficiency developing loads equations and deriving structural loads from measurements
• Strong scripting and data analysis in Python and/or MATLAB
• Experience with loads and fatigue spectrum development from flight data
• Working knowledge of structural analysis methods (hand calcs/FEA)
• Familiarity with fatigue and damage tolerance concepts (spectra, NDE)
