- Lead design and review of overhead and underground distribution systems (feeders, laterals, services)
- Apply in-depth knowledge of distribution construction practices and equipment (poles, conductors, transformers, switches)
- Perform load flow, voltage drop, fault current, protection coordination, and reliability analyses
- Serve as technical authority on distribution standards (NESC, NEC, IEEE)
- Collaborate with operations, construction, and planning to ensure safe, constructible designs
- Provide field engineering support: site visits and resolution of complex field issues
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited electrical engineering program
- 13–15 years of progressive experience in electric distribution engineering
- Strong background in overhead and underground distribution design and construction
- Extensive knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE and utility standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
- PE license or ability to obtain reciprocity within defined timeframe
