Senior Distribution Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design and review of overhead and underground distribution systems (feeders, lines, services)
• Apply in-depth knowledge of distribution construction practices and equipment
• Perform load flow, voltage drop, fault current, protection coordination, and reliability analyses
• Serve as a technical authority on distribution standards (NESC/NEC/IEEE) and utility requirements
• Collaborate with operations, construction, and maintenance to ensure safe, constructible designs
• Provide field engineering support: site visits, constructability reviews, and issue resolution

🎯 Requirements

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 13–15 years of experience in electric distribution engineering
• Strong background in overhead and underground distribution design
• Knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE standards and utility construction practices
• Active PE license or ability to obtain reciprocity within defined timeframe
• Experience managing multiple people and projects with cross-functional teams
