Senior Director, Internal Audit

📋 Description

• Lead and evolve Braze's global Internal Audit function, reporting to the CFO and Audit Committee.
• Direct a multi-year, risk-based audit program across processes and controls.
• Scale a global audit team; blend internal and external talent; emphasize AI governance.
• Build continuous monitoring and AI-enabled testing for real-time assurance.
• Oversee the SOX assurance lifecycle and ensure high-quality workpapers and audits.
• Partner with Legal, Technology, and Privacy teams on AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in Internal Audit, with 5+ years in leadership in public SaaS or Big 4.
• Proven ability to interface with Board Directors and CFO; data-backed, hard-truth communication.
• Deep understanding of SOX compliance (302/404) and ITGCs.
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and frameworks (COSO, ISO, NIST, SOC).
• Proficiency with data engineering/analytics tools: Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Looker.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification; Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
