- Own day-to-day technical operation, reliability, performance, and recoverability of SQL Server environments.
- Support production, QA, UAT, staging, and development DBs used by apps.
- Maintain backup, restore, recovery validation, retention, and DR procedures.
- Support HA/DR designs: AlwaysOn, replication, failover readiness, RPO/RTO.
- Monitor DB health, performance, storage, jobs, blocking, deadlocks, backups.
- Diagnose/resolve performance issues: slow queries, indexing, plans, locking.
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA or similar hands-on production database role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, stats, and execution plans.
- Experience with backup/restore, DR, and high availability (AlwaysOn, replication, log shipping).
- Experience with ETL/ELT, SSIS, data pipelines, and reporting feeds.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git for work tracking.
