- Hybrid role based in Budapest, Hungary office.
- Own day-to-day operation, reliability, performance, and recovery of SQL Server DBs.
- Maintain backups, DR validation, retention, and high-availability designs (AlwaysOn/replication).
- Monitor health, performance, storage, jobs, blocking, deadlocks, replication, and backups.
- Diagnose performance issues: slow queries, indexing, locking, tempdb pressure.
- Review schema changes with software teams and ensure smooth release readiness.
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years as a DBA, data platform engineer, or similar.
- Strong hands-on SQL Server in production environments.
- Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, plans, and statistics.
- Experience with backup/restore, DR, and high availability (AlwaysOn, replication).
- ETL/ELT, SSIS, data pipelines; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
