Senior Data Scientist, Algorithms - Lyft Business

📋 Description

• Lead ML/AI initiatives across Lyft Business with cross-team impact.
• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and optimization algorithms.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of modeling solutions from framing to deployment.
• Partner with Engineering to build scalable inference services, pipelines, and feature stores.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to internal ML standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in ML, CS, Optimization, Statistics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production ML model development and deployment.
• Proven ability to own multi-project scopes in ambiguous domains.
• Strong Python skills; PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn; Spark, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Hands-on experience building prod ML systems: real-time inference, batch pipelines, monitoring.
• Experience designing experiments and offline/online metrics for evaluation.
