Senior Data Scientist, Algorithms - Lyft Business

📋 Description

• Lead multiple ML initiatives across Lyft Business areas.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models and ranking systems.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of complex modeling solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering to build scalable inference services and pipelines.
• Define model evaluation strategies and experimentation plans.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to ML best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s/PhD in ML, CS, optimization, statistics, engineering, or related.
• 5+ years of industry experience deploying ML models in production.
• Deep expertise in ML: supervised/unsupervised, optimization, probabilistic modeling, time-series.
• Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn) and Spark/Databricks.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade ML systems: real-time inference services and monitoring.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
