Senior Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Serve as Buffer’s primary Data Scientist, supporting product and growth decisions.
• Build behavioural and business models across acquisition, activation, retention, monetization.
• Lead analyses and experiments to identify product and growth opportunities.
• Design, analyze, and interpret experiments, including A/B tests and incrementality studies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define success metrics and evaluation frameworks.
• Develop reusable datasets, models, and reporting patterns to reduce ad-hoc requests.

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for helping creators and small businesses via data-driven decisions.
• Significant data science experience in SaaS/PLG with SaaS metrics and monetization.
• Hands-on with modern analytics stacks: BigQuery, dbt, Looker/Metabase, Segment, Python or R.
• Strong stats and causal reasoning; fluent in SQL; Python or R.
• End-to-end ownership of complex analyses that influence decisions.
• Experience designing experiments (A/B, incrementality, causal analyses).
• Experience building models across the full customer lifecycle.
• Balance strategic work with day-to-day analytics; improve self-serve tooling.
