Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Drive mechanical design for data center cooling, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Review external design docs to align with Basis of Design.
• Evaluate submittals, shop drawings, equipment selections; respond to RFIs.
• Identify design conflicts across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Maintain internal mechanical design standards and reference configurations.
• Coordinate with external partners and vendors on scopes and procurement.

🎯 Requirements

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years designing data center mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of chilled-water, air-cooled, liquid cooling; redundant piping.
• Experience guiding external engineering consultants.
• Proficient in reading drawings, P&IDs, and SLDs.
• Strong communication to drive technical decisions across teams.
