📋 Description

• Advise business, product, design, and engineering teams on compliance.
• Serve as day-to-day partner to understand the product roadmap and advise to minimize legal risk.
• Lead consensus across legal on privacy, consumer protection, AI, intermediary liability, competition, and related laws.
• Collaborate with Legal counterparts to ensure consistent, globally-aligned advice.
• Draft risk analyses, memoranda, disclosures, terms, and related policies.
• Manage outside counsel on complex research with time and cost control.

🎯 Requirements

• JD with 9-12 years in law firms, gov't or in-house.
• In-house experience at a multinational consumer tech co in product counseling.
• Barred in CA or eligible to register as California In-House Counsel.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DMCA, CDA230, CAN-SPAM.
• Pragmatic, self-motivated team player; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous env.
• Strong analytical skills; condense complex legal advice; intellectually curious.
