📋 Description

  • Serve as a privacy SME and keep current on legal/regulatory changes to ensure compliance
  • Present management recommendations on operationalizing privacy initiatives
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and engage regulators, auditors, and clients as required
  • Review and negotiate client and vendor contracts to align with company policies
  • Support incident response by assessing privacy impact and coordinating breach notifications
  • Develop and deliver privacy training programs to promote compliance across the organization

🎯 Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • 5-10 years’ experience negotiating IT/SaaS contracts and handling privacy matters
  • Experience building/maintaining processes to foster company compliance, preferably in a high-growth private company
  • Knowledge of privacy laws required, especially for EU, US, Canada, UK
  • Must have prior experience engaging directly with clients and/or external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving and process improvement
