Shape Coinbase’s patent portfolio strategy
Collaborate with innovators to harvest inventions and educate inventors
Manage patent preparation/prosecution and outside counsel; develop portfolio analytics
Perform IP due diligence and advise on IP transactions
Provide thought leadership on IP developments and policy

🎯 Requirements

Licensed in a U.S. state; JD or equivalent; 5+ years in patent prep/prosecution or litigation; 3+ years patent litigation preferred
Deep crypto knowledge or strong interest to become crypto expert
Crypto industry experience is a plus but not required
Self-sufficient with strong independent judgment
Build collaborative relationships with teammates, legal dept, internal clients, outside counsel
Action-oriented; deliver impact within 90 days and beyond
