Senior Backend Engineer - Subscriptions

📋 Description

• Design and architect backend systems powering new subscription features
• Build, deploy, and maintain scalable services with high availability and low latency
• Collaborate with mobile engineers and cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, UX)
• Take ownership of production services, including monitoring and on-call
• Contribute to technical direction and improve scalability
• Mentor engineers to raise engineering quality and collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building backend systems using Java and modern backend technologies
• Strong CS fundamentals and experience building distributed systems at scale
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP; design cloud-native architectures
• Experience designing and developing APIs and systems with stakeholders
• Comfortable working across cross-functional teams and driving projects
• Experience running services in production with ownership of reliability and performance
