Senior Backend Engineer - Personalization

📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship backend services powering LLM-based music fulfilment.
• Build and maintain APIs and distributed systems for playlists, sessions, and music products.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and ML teams on features.
• Lead technically in autonomous cross-functional agile teams.
• Prototype approaches and productionize scalable solutions for hundreds of millions of users.
• Contribute to Spotify backend communities and drive architecture company-wide.
• Promote best practices in backend design, testing, and deployment.

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced backend engineer who solves complex problems in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Experience shaping APIs and systems with stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Experience writing distributed, high-volume services in production.
• Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Comfortable working with LLM-based systems and backend infrastructure.
• Experience with Apache Beam or Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
