Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Participate in cross-team initiatives; provide feedback and solutions.
• Understand the team's domain from product and engineering.
• Provide feedback on code reviews; contribute to shared codebase.
• Debug and solve technical and business issues.
• Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; ship secure, reliable, scalable systems.
• Experience designing or adopting automation workflows; iterative.
• Ability to define specs, break down plans, verify, and ensure quality.
• Postgres (or similar) database experience.
• CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
