Lead major team projects for Remote's HR/Payroll products.
Collaborate across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA in cross-functional teams.
Build tools, APIs and integrations for Remote's products.
Backend uses Elixir and Phoenix with Postgres; frontend uses React/Next.js; AWS hosting.
Review code, maintain codebase, and debug issues.
Mentor engineers and participate in hiring, RFCs, and platform improvements.

🎯 Requirements

Strong engineering fundamentals; ships secure, reliable systems.
Experience designing or adopting automation workflows.
Ability to think in systems: define specs, break down plans, verify quality.
Postgres (or similar) experience.
CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
Nice to have: Elixir; Kubernetes; Docker; AWS; Next.js; React.
