Senior Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote HR/Payroll products.
• Drive product work: provide feedback and propose solutions.
• Maintain understanding of team domain from product and engineering sides.
• Debug and solve technical and business issues.
• Build reusable agentic workflows and interfaces with performance in mind.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the shared codebase.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; secure, reliable, scalable production systems.
• Experience designing/adopting agentic/automation workflows; iterative improvement.
• Systems thinking: define specs, break down plans, instrument verification, close the loop on quality.
• PostgreSQL (or similar).
• CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
• Nice-to-have: Elixir/Erlang/Scala/Clojure/Haskell; Kubernetes; Docker; AWS; Next.js; React.
