📋 Description

The Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and scale high-performance backend services powering a data-intensive platform. This role is hands-on and requires ownership of production-grade APIs and database optimization.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop and optimize backend services for data-intensive workloads.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema, indexing, and migrations.
• Work with pgvector or similar vector search for embeddings and similarity.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend development; 3+ years Python in production.
• Strong FastAPI experience with async/await and dependency injection.
• Advanced PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with pgvector or vector search.
• Docker; Kubernetes familiarity.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
