Senior Avionics Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own design and delivery of avionics mechanical hardware (enclosures, mounts, thermal)
• Ensure hardware survives launch/space environments; solve thermal/structural challenges
• Hands-on, prototype-heavy; iterate designs, test, deliver flight-ready systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally; influence product, process, and culture
• CAD/analysis for structural/thermal performance; optimize packaging
• Experience with high-density electronics cooling (conduction, heat pipes, cold plates)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of mechanical design, packaging, or thermal management in aerospace
• Ability to deliver mechanical systems from concept to qualification and flight
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, NX) and structural/thermal analysis tools
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and debugging hardware in a lab
• Strong communication; cross-functional work in fast-paced, iterative teams
